A crew time clock that ties every hour to the job

Friday night shouldn't be timesheet night. Yet for a lot of contractors, it is. Texts with hours, paper cards, a guess at who was on which job.

Banay OS™ fixes the source. Crew clock in from their phone. Hours show by week, tied to each job. You see the week at a glance, and every hour lands on a job.

The problem with paper and texted hours

Paper timesheets and texted hours have the same weak spot. They get written down after the fact. By then, nobody remembers if Tuesday afternoon was the deck or the bathroom.

That matters twice. Once for paying your crew. And once for knowing what each job cost you in labor. If hours don't land on the right job, your job numbers are off before you start.

How the Banay OS time clock works

Crew clock in from their phone

No punch clock in the truck. No app store hunt. Your crew clocks in from the phone they already carry, and picks the job they're on.

Hours by week, tied to each job

Every punch sits on a job. You see hours by week for each person, and you see which jobs those hours went to. That's the view you need for payroll prep and for job costing.

Weekly hours past 40

Weekly overtime past 40 hours (federal rule). Your state may have other rules. Check your own state's rules with your accountant or labor advisor.

Hours roll into the job's P&L

Labor is usually the biggest cost you control. In Banay OS, crew hours roll into each job's P&L along with receipts and materials.

Live, automated P&L for every job.*

Location and mileage

Crews care about this, and they should.

Mileage is off until the owner turns it on, and each driver sees and accepts a notice first. After that, Banay OS records drives only while you're clocked in and inside work hours your company sets. Nothing is recorded when you're clocked out or outside those hours. Location is recorded only while you're clocked in. The owner and the office or admin users you choose can see it; crew see only their own. Route points are deleted after 90 days by default (your company can choose 7 to 90 days); trip records stay for your mileage log.

Built for small crews, in three languages

Banay OS was built by Dominic, a general contractor who got tired of not knowing what each job cost him or made him, and of all the paperwork that comes with it. His crew speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish. So the crew app does too: English, Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish.

Each person picks their language. The owner sees the same hours either way.

What a time clock won't do for you

A time clock records hours. It isn't payroll, and it isn't labor-law advice. Pay and break rules vary by state. Talk to your accountant or a labor attorney about the rules where you work.
